Berkeley election results: Key reminders

  • Ranked-choice voting: Any race without a majority vote results in an instant run-off where candidates are eliminated from the bottom. Votes are redistributed until one candidate has a majority. Those results take longer to come in. Learn more about ranked-choice voting on the county website.
  • Don't be confused by "precincts reported" language in county results; it does not indicate how much of the total vote has been tallied.
