Friday afternoon's exclusive story is about a cold case rape solved through DNA by Berkeley sex crimes investigators.

According to court papers, a woman had been walking near San Pablo and Ashby avenues when a stranger began to follow her in his car on July 1, 2010.

She was knocked unconscious from behind a short time later and woke up in the stranger's car.

We also had the news today that a cyclist was hurt when a driver intentionally struck him and ran over his bike in downtown Berkeley on Thursday night, according to BPD.

The cyclist, a man in his 50s from out of state, declined medical help and the Berkeley Police Department said his injuries were not life-threatening.
