The Scanner Today, March 7

This is short because we're monitoring a breaking news situation: Local photographer Ariel Nava is at the scene in San Pablo where Berkeley police are trying to find two people linked to two armed robberies and several auto burglaries near the UC Berkeley campus this afternoon.

The story is developing and we'll share more when we know it.

We also attended a press conference by District Attorney Pamela Price on Tuesday afternoon in which she announced new charges in a hate crime and attempted murder case from Fremont in 2021.

We plan to have that story in the morning.
