We've just learned the name of the student who died after a drowning report at a Cal fraternity. He has been identified as George Mauricio Salinas of San Diego, the coroner's office told us. We're hoping to learn more.

In case you missed it

On Nov. 21, the coroner's office released the name of the cyclist who died after a recent collision on Telegraph Avenue. He was 65-year-old John Edward Muller (no confirmed city of residence).

We're told some community members have created a small memorial for him featuring flowers and candles. "I know a lot of people around here have been affected by it," one person told us.
