Woman taken for eval after driving into San Francisco Bay
Witnesses said the woman got out of her car and began walking away after driving into the water in Berkeley.

A woman drove into the San Francisco Bay in West Berkeley last week, resulting in a medical evaluation, authorities report.
On Thursday night, Berkeley police and firefighters were dispatched to the Berkeley Marina to investigate reports of a driver in the water near Skates on the Bay.
Multiple people called 911 to report the car in the water just before 7 p.m., according to emergency dispatches reviewed by The Scanner.
Witnesses said a woman in her 40s had gotten out of the car and began walking eastbound on University Avenue, leaving the car submerged, authorities said.
Berkeley police and firefighters contacted the woman and made sure no one else was in the vehicle.
The Berkeley Fire Department also sent rescue divers to ensure that was the case.
The woman was taken for a medical evaluation after speaking with local first responders, according to radio traffic.

The vehicle was later towed from the water.
