Two men with a gun robbed the Smokehouse burger shop in Berkeley on Thursday night, authorities report.

The robbery happened just before 10:15 p.m., Berkeley police said.

Two men in their 30s or 40s robbed the business at gunpoint and then fled westbound on Woolsey Street in a small moving van-type vehicle, authorities said.

Police searched the area but had not located the men as of publication time.

The Smokehouse, which closes Thursdays at 11 p.m., is located at 3115 Telegraph Ave. (at Woolsey Street) and has been open in the neighborhood since 1951.
