Not too often we get significant helicopter activity in and around Berkeley but today it happened twice.

Officers arrested two people in North Berkeley on Tuesday afternoon, after a helicopter search in the neighborhood, in connection with a robbery outside the city, police report.

Here's what we know.

Limited details were available because officers were still at the scene, Berkeley police said.

We're still aiming to learn more and will update the story as soon as we can.

Many thanks to Ariel Nava Photo for his photographs from the scene.

We also had inquiries Tuesday morning about helicopter activity in North Oakland in connection with a bomb threat at an Oakland school.

BUSD said there was no threat to Berkeley schools. But some did hold recess indoors and notify parents out of an abundance of caution.

We shared OPD's update about that incident in the story above and on Twitter.

We spent the morning in juvenile court following up on a case there and the afternoon at the courthouse by the lake looking at records.

More soon!
