A Vallejo man has been charged with sexually assaulting a Berkeley High student after police say he used Instagram to arrange a meeting to give her marijuana.

Police say Uriel Alegre Rangel was known to sell marijuana and went by the handles “bayareasupplierrrr” and “stackdollaaa” online.

As it turns out, that truck from Tuesday's hit-and-run crash (and power outage) was stolen.
An astute reader asked us about the missing front license plate, and we asked BPD.
At the time of the collision, the truck had not been reported stolen yet.
As of today, no arrests to report, BPD said.

Update: The pickup truck from the crash had been stolen from Richmond, police determined later.
