On Monday afternoon, eight council members put forward three separate plans to revise Tuesday night's omnibus "public safety package" from Berkeley police.

The most far-reaching proposal, from Berkeley Mayor Adena Ishii and Councilwoman Cecilia Lunaparra, would cut Flock out of the city's program altogether.

Meanwhile, police say Flock is their only viable option.
