In other news: We're staying busy

We started the day in court followed by an in-depth interview about a recent plea deal, which we mentioned in our newsletter Monday. Story forthcoming.

Then, after getting multiple reader inquiries, we rushed home and wrote our story on today's big traffic enforcement operation.

Otherwise, the day has been busy with the business side of things — meeting with our new HR and strategy coaches to come up with an action plan for TBS over the next 12 months. We'll share more on that in a future update.

Now, we're gearing up to speak with a UC Berkeley class about how we started The Berkeley Scanner. The class is focused on the news business and will include our plans for an Albany Scanner launch this year. We're excited to share some of what we've learned!
