We spent the day at the Berkeley Marina. It wasn't the worst place to be.
TBS appeared to be the only news outlet to get a close look at the bomb technicians at work. No other media outlets were inside the perimeter.

The blast — a sharp boom — sent a plume of smoke into the air at about 2:30 p.m.
