Police investigate more gunfire in South Berkeley
The incident may have begun as a conflict between two women, one of whom reportedly had a knife, authorities said.
Police are investigating gunfire over the weekend in South Berkeley not far from a shooting in the neighborhood earlier in the month.
Limited information was available this week but, on Thursday, police said they found casings in the roadway after going out to investigate 911 reports about gunfire Saturday at about 2 a.m. in the 2900 block of Adeline Street.
The incident may have begun as a conflict between two women, one of whom reportedly had a knife, authorities said.
No one was hurt and the case remains under investigation.
It was the second reported shooting of the year, according to BPD data.
Earlier this month, a house was hit by gunfire near King and Adeline streets less than a mile away.
No arrests have been made. That case also remains under investigation.
