Authorities are investigating a gas leak Wednesday morning at UC Berkeley that has closed multiple streets downtown and south of campus.

Campus officials said Bancroft Way is closed from Dana Street to Shattuck Avenue; Oxford and Fulton streets are closed from Allston Way to Durant Avenue; and Ellsworth Street is closed from Durant Avenue to Bancroft Way.

UC Berkeley announced the street closures just before 8:45 a.m., about 30 minutes after announcing the reported gas leak on the west side of Edwards Track, between Allston Way and Bancroft Way along Oxford and Fulton streets.

Update, 9:45 a.m. "PG&E has resolved the issue and all lanes of traffic are now open," UC Berkeley officials have announced after a gas leak that closed several local streets Wednesday morning.

They issued the "all clear" advisory at 9:45 a.m.
