A few shots, courtesy of the Emerson PTA, from this week's Walk and Roll to School event.
Participants included "Mr. Bob," a longtime traffic safety volunteer at Emerson Elementary who was struck by a driver who intentionally ran down several people in Berkeley on the same September morning, according to police.
"Mr. Bob and his daughter were able to attend along with Councilman Humbert (on bike), Superintendent Enikia Ford Morthel (on roller skates), and Assembly Member Wicks," said Rachel Terp, Emerson PTA president. "Families really rose to the occasion. Parent Amy Fire coordinated the event for our school."
