TBS Today, Sept. 11

Today we broke the news, thanks to a reader tip, about a body discovered floating in the Berkeley Marina.

Several other news sites picked up the story after we published ours.

Man’s body found in the water at Berkeley Marina
A gardener called police just before 10:15 a.m. to report what appeared to be a body in the water near the Berkeley Yacht Club.

This is just one small example of how our work shapes Bay Area journalism and surfaces stories that wouldn't otherwise be told — even if other media outlets don't always credit us for breaking the news.

(We always appreciate those that do, and work to give other outlets their credit where it's due.)
