Man's body found in the water at Berkeley Marina
A gardener called police just before 10:15 a.m. to report what appeared to be a body in the water near the Berkeley Yacht Club.

Authorities recovered the body of a man from the Berkeley Marina on Thursday morning.
Limited details were available, but the man appeared to be in his 60s and was deceased, Berkeley police said in response to a Scanner inquiry.
A gardener at the marina called police just before 10:15 a.m. to report what appeared to be a body floating in the water near the Berkeley Yacht Club, according to police and radio traffic reviewed by The Scanner.
Police and firefighters responded to the area and confirmed the report.
Berkeley firefighters were able to recover the man's body using a boat.
They pulled him out of the water shortly before 10:30 a.m.
The Alameda County coroner's office will now take charge of the case, BPD said.
