A homeless woman who tried to grab a 10-month-old baby from his stroller near Aquatic Park in West Berkeley on Tuesday has been arrested, authorities report.

Police: Woman arrested after trying to take baby from stroller
Police said a “struggle ensued” after the woman grabbed the baby, with passers-by intervening and pulling him to safety.

Also: A man with a pending gun case, who was out of jail on his own recognizance, is back in custody this week facing new illegal firearm charges, court papers show.

Officers linked him to the robbery of a BHS student at a dice game earlier this year, authorities said.
