DoorDash driver flips car in downtown Berkeley crash

A woman escaped injury despite flipping her car on its roof after hitting a parked vehicle in downtown Berkeley on Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened at Virginia and Oxford streets shortly before 2 p.m. and was initially reported as a possible extrication.
Berkeley police said they did not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
Streets were briefly closed during the investigation and authorities called for a tow truck to remove the damaged car, according to radio traffic reviewed by The Scanner.

The woman was driving for DoorDash and may have been trying to find an address when she drifted to the right and struck the parked car, according to the initial investigation.
She was able to get out of her Toyota Prius on her own and was ambulatory at the scene, authorities said.
