An attic fire over the weekend displaced a family from their northwest Berkeley home.

Berkeley attic fire displaces local family
The fire caused “quite extensive damage” to the roof and attic, rendering the home uninhabitable, the Berkeley Fire Department said.

We also shared the name today of the man who died this week after an apartment fire at his building on College Avenue. Roberto Rodriguez was 69 years old.

The fire displaced six people, the Berkeley Fire Department said.
