Police in Berkeley investigated two seemingly unrelated shootings Friday night: one, gunfire on the freeway, the other, the case of a man who showed up wounded at a local hospital.
Few details were available as of publication time but authorities did confirm they do not currently believe the incidents are linked.

It's unclear whether either of these incidents will count as "confirmed" Berkeley gunfire in 2025 but we have them on our gunfire map until we learn more.
