TBS Today, Jan. 8
Two new stories for you today after a rather busy weekend.
- Burglars broke into Creekwood Restaurant in Berkeley for the second time in about a year, shattering the glass front door and stealing cash from the closed business. It's the latest in what appears to be a spike in commercial burglaries citywide.
- A Berkeley stabbing suspect who fled to Georgia has now been charged with attempted murder after an unprovoked attack outside a Chase Bank branch last year, authorities say.
We have the scoop for you on both stories.

Teams from Berkeleyside and the Daily Cal have been doing a lot of reporting out there, as have other media to a lesser extent. Check out their work to learn more.
And many thanks to those of you who answered our call on Twitter for a spot to report from the scene near People's Park. So far we haven't needed it, but we're definitely keeping your kind offers on file!
