Vote in the Nov. 3 election by mailing your ballot, placing your ballot in an election drop box or, in the days leading up to the election, visiting an in-person vote center.

All registered voters will be sent a ballot and a postage-paid return envelope. Postmark your ballot well before Nov. 3 or deliver it directly to a vote center or drop box by 8 p.m. that night.

You have until Oct. 19 to [register online to vote](https://registertovote.ca.gov/?ref=berkeleyscanner.com) in the Nov. 3 election. Those who miss the deadline can still register and vote in person at a [vote center](https://www.acgov.org/rov%5Fapp/vcalist?ref=berkeleyscanner.com) or the [Registrar of Voters' office](https://acvote.alamedacountyca.gov/index?ref=berkeleyscanner.com) until 8 p.m. on Election Day.

The Nov. 3 election includes Berkeley [candidates](https://berkeleyca.gov/your-government/elections/candidate-information?ref=berkeleyscanner.com) and [ballot measures](https://berkeleyca.gov/your-government/elections/ballot-measures?ref=berkeleyscanner.com) as well as races for state offices such as governor and State Assembly, federal races for the U.S. House of Representatives, statewide measures, county offices and regional measures.

See what's on your Nov. 3 ballot using [vote411.org](https://www.vote411.org/ballot?ref=berkeleyscanner.com), which is run by the nonpartisan League of Women Voters.

## Postmark early to vote by mail

All voters will receive ballots to submit by mail or at an official Registrar of Voters drop box.

The ballot return envelope is postage paid, so you do not need to add postage to mail your envelope. Remember to sign the back of your return envelope. It is recommended to put your ballot in the mail before Nov. 3 to ensure that it is postmarked by Election Day.

If you did not receive your ballot, or if it was lost or damaged, visit a vote center to get a ballot and cast your vote. Vote centers open on either Oct. 24 or Oct. 31, depending on the location.

To vote in person, use a vote center in the county where you are registered.
