# Berkeley goat has been found. But where is her owner?

A lost goat that has been [roaming Berkeley streets](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/2026/09/02/community/runaway-goat-gives-berkeley-police-slip/) for at least a week is now safe at the municipal animal shelter.

But authorities are still working to reunite her with her owner.

[Berkeley Animal Care Services](https://berkeleyca.gov/community-recreation/animal-care-services?ref=berkeleyscanner.com) picked up the goat Thursday from Hillcrest Court near Claremont Avenue.

She now has [her own profile on 24Petconnect](https://24petconnect.com/DetailsMain/BRKL/A062441?ref=berkeleyscanner.com), a website for helping owners find lost animals.

"I am a female, black and brown Goat," the page reads.

The goat is also featured on the shelter's Instagram page, where she's already picking up fans.
