The teenager ultimately complied with officer orders after a nine-minute standoff and negotiation, BPD said. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he is stable, police said shortly before publication. The teenager was assessed at the scene but did not require hospital transport, according to police. The parties were known to each other, but police declined to share how, citing privacy concerns.
