The quake's epicenter was on Calandria Avenue near Interstate 580\. It was recorded at 8:30 a.m. with a depth of 3.2 miles, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The earthquake originally registered as magnitude 4.1 but was downgraded twice after review. Writing on the UC Berkeley Reddit, one person said they felt "Side to side strong rocking in my part of Berkeley, but nothing fell over." Another described it as "A mild shake."
