In today's story, freelancer Allyson Aleksey brings us a dispatch from Albany, which is considering a protected bike lane on Solano Avenue.

The project is still years off, but it's something we'll keep a close eye on, especially as local cycling advocates say they hope to see Berkeley follow suit.
