The city of Berkeley released its budget reduction plan Tuesday just after 5 p.m.

We're about to attend tonight's [Berkeley City Council meeting](https://berkeleyca.gov/city-council-regular-meeting-eagenda-april-14-2026?ref=berkeleyscanner.com) but will review the budget plan and publish our own analysis soon.

In the meantime, we wanted to be sure our readers had timely access to the firsthand material.
