A man has been charged with sexual battery after grabbing an individual's buttock next to the UC Berkeley campus last week, according to police and court papers.

In an [email Monday](https://mailchi.mp/berkeleyca/publicsafetytechtools-13566548?e=08f4fec75d&ref=berkeleyscanner.com), Mayor Adena Ishii alerted community members to two important meetings this week.

- Tuesday, the Berkeley City Council "will review and discuss the initial polling results about a potential $300 million bond measure being placed on the November 2026 ballot." - Wednesday evening, the mayor will join police and fire officials in a "Community Conversation" about "Public Safety Technology Tools," e.g. drones. We know it's of high interest to our readers.
