The roof of a two-story building partially collapsed in Berkeley on Thursday morning sending at least one woman to the hospital, authorities report.

Also, a driver struck a woman who was trying to cross Ashby Avenue on Wednesday night, sending her to the hospital with significant injuries, authorities report.
