# Sexual battery reported at UC Berkeley on Halloween

[UC Berkeley](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/topic/uc-berkeley-crime/) police are looking for a "male with a light complexion" who grabbed a woman's buttocks on campus on Halloween.

The incident happened Friday shortly before 10 p.m. on Lower Sproul Plaza, the [University of California Police Department](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/topic/university-california-police-department/) reported via its [Safety App](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/2025/08/25/uc-berkeley-crime/uc-berkeley-cuts-public-emails-safety-alert-overhaul/) shortly before 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the male (no age provided) had light-colored hair and wore a black jacket and black shorts. 

He [walked off campus](https://berkeley.apparmor.com/notifications/CAP/?id=196045&t=592609503&ref=berkeleyscanner.com) after the sexual battery, UCPD said.  
  
Authorities ask anyone with information about what happened to call UCPD at 510-642-6760.
