He was just 35 years old. Kamraan was alone in his Toyota Sienna minivan on eastbound Interstate 80 when he crashed into the guardrail at about 4:10 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said. The crash took place near the Ashby Avenue exit in [West Berkeley](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/topic/west-berkeley/). There were indications he lived in Alameda, authorities said. On Friday, however, the coroner's office said Kamraan's city of residence had not been confirmed due to the ongoing investigation. At this point, authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision. As of Friday, the cause remains under investigation, CHP Oakland said.
