We were able to meet many of the people who spoke to us after Brown's death and shared such poignant stories about the impact he made on their lives. It was a beautiful event followed by a fitting sunset. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/8e/3b/8e3bb516-9b88-46c2-aa85-566ed9c3647c/content/images/2025/04/IMG_6375.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/8e/3b/8e3bb516-9b88-46c2-aa85-566ed9c3647c/content/images/2025/04/IMG_6378.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/8e/3b/8e3bb516-9b88-46c2-aa85-566ed9c3647c/content/images/2025/04/IMG_6394.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/8e/3b/8e3bb516-9b88-46c2-aa85-566ed9c3647c/content/images/2025/04/IMG_6426.jpg) Photos by Emilie Raguso/The Berkeley Scanner ### In case you missed it [Teen stabbed in Berkeley, assailants flee on scootersThe victim told police he had been stabbed near the shoulder and could not feel his hand, according to emergency dispatches.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/8e/3b/8e3bb516-9b88-46c2-aa85-566ed9c3647c/content/images/icon/The-Berkeley-Scanner_Icon_Color-1-591.jpg)The Berkeley ScannerEmilie Raguso![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/8e/3b/8e3bb516-9b88-46c2-aa85-566ed9c3647c/content/images/thumbnail/Photo-Apr-09-2025--9-46-31-PM-1.jpg)](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/2025/04/10/crime/berkeley-teen-stabbed-assailants-flee-scooters/) [Berkeley robbery detectives make 3 arrests in ‘major cases’The same suspects were linked to “related cases” in nearby jurisdictions, BPD said Thursday.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/8e/3b/8e3bb516-9b88-46c2-aa85-566ed9c3647c/content/images/icon/The-Berkeley-Scanner_Icon_Color-1-589.jpg)The Berkeley ScannerEmilie Raguso![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/8e/3b/8e3bb516-9b88-46c2-aa85-566ed9c3647c/content/images/thumbnail/Evidence-Photo-24-52041-1.jpg)](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/2025/04/10/arrests/berkeley-robbery-detectives-dream-fluff-flock-arrests/) [Man, 80, strangled during random attack on College Ave.Police say David Hobbs jumped into the victim’s passenger seat and got on top of him, then began to strangle him, after the man opened his car door.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/8e/3b/8e3bb516-9b88-46c2-aa85-566ed9c3647c/content/images/icon/The-Berkeley-Scanner_Icon_Color-1-590.jpg)The Berkeley ScannerEmilie Raguso![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/8e/3b/8e3bb516-9b88-46c2-aa85-566ed9c3647c/content/images/thumbnail/Screenshot-2025-04-10-at-2.08.58-PM-1.jpg)](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/2025/04/10/arrests/berkeley-random-attack-college-ave-man-80-strangled/) [The Scanner wants to hear from you: Reader survey up nowDon’t miss your chance to share your feedback with TBS.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/8e/3b/8e3bb516-9b88-46c2-aa85-566ed9c3647c/content/images/icon/The-Berkeley-Scanner_Icon_Color-1-593.jpg)The Berkeley ScannerEditor’s desk![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/8e/3b/8e3bb516-9b88-46c2-aa85-566ed9c3647c/content/images/thumbnail/Emilie-Raguso-at-a-crime-scene---IMG_1222-credit---ariel-nava-photo-2.jpg)](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/2025/04/08/editors-desk/berkeley-scanner-reader-survey/) **Read [ more stories](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/archive/) • Learn [about TBS](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/about/) • 👋 Follow us on [social media](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/2024/11/25/editors-desk/follow-berkeley-scanner-social-media/)** --- Did someone forward you this email?
