BPD told us that two drivers collided, and one of them then hit the house, "causing damage to the property. Both drivers sustained suspected minor injuries, and no one inside the home was injured," BPD said. A Scanner reader said he heard a loud screech Friday followed by a loud crash. Right afterward, he said, there was a strong smell of natural gas. "I think the car must have hit the house’s gas line/meter," he said. "The authorities were making sure everyone, including traffic and bystanders, stayed far away until they were able to shut off the gas.
