Heather worked in mental health and substance support services. She was 60 years old and had overcome past trauma to devote her life to helping others, according to online profiles. For context, the name appears as "Reimer" in several official records, but we were able to confirm that's incorrect. We've fixed our original story and won't get it wrong again. We're sad to share the news that Alameda County Superior Court Judge James Cramer has died. East Bay Times reporter Nate Gartrell has the story. No cause of death has been released.
