# Berkeley Apple Store just got hit again

Berkeley police responded to the Apple Store on Thursday for a report of yet another theft on Fourth Street.

The incident took place at 12:15 p.m., the [Berkeley Police Department](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/topic/berkeley-police-department/) said.

According to initial reports, two male individuals entered the store and stole 16 iPhones, six iPads and four MacBook computers. They fled in a silver sedan before police arrived.

BPD cautioned that the initial report is preliminary and that the details could change.

Thursday's incident follows a similar report Wednesday when one person went into the Berkeley Apple Store, at 1823 Fourth St., and took approximately 75 phones at about 12:20 p.m.

Police ultimately [arrested three people](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/2024/02/07/crime/berkeley-apple-store-crooks-steal-40-50-iphones/) in Oakland in that case. 

In January, police said thieves hit the Berkeley Apple Store [five times that month alone](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/2024/01/31/crime/berkeley-apple-store-repeat-target-theft-fourth-street/). Twice, their plans were foiled, but three other times they made off with devices.

The Emeryville Apple Store has also been a repeat target this year, with [at least four thefts at the Bay Street store](https://evilleeye.com/news-commentary/fourth-bay-street-apple-store-robbery-since-january-reopening/?ref=berkeleyscanner.com) in recent weeks, The E'ville Eye reported.
