Attorneys in the Steven Taylor manslaughter case have been sparring since last year when Michael Rains, representing former San Leandro cop Jason Fletcher, sought to have the DA's office recused. His attempt failed, and then the DA's office tried to have Rains and his firm thrown off the case. That too was unsuccessful. Friday's hearing focused largely on concerns about a Facebook post the DA's office made about the case. Here's our latest Scanner exclusive. [Man arrested after reports of sexual battery at 924 GilmanThe suspect was identified as Mark James Bradley, 41, of Oakland. One was in the area of Roble and Tunnel roads around 10:20 p.m. Police responded but did not find anything. A couple hours later, there was gunfire at Bonar Street and Allston Way shortly before 12:25 a.m. Police found casings but there were no reported injuries. One woman told us she heard seven gunshots.
