Today we have the scoop on Berkeley's latest shooting — a man reportedly fired a gun at his grandparents on Channing Way. Fortunately, no one was hit.

We've also published our **2023 gunfire map**. Be sure to bookmark that for the latest news on Berkeley shootings and gunfire. 

Most importantly, we wanted to let you know about a Zoom town hall on public safety coming Tuesday night. Councilwoman Susan Wengraf organized it, but it's open to everyone. 

This will be a rare chance for folks who are concerned about crime and safety in Berkeley to make their voices heard. 

We'll be there and we hope many of you will be there, too. 

**Heads up:** Bayer will do a special siren test **Monday, March 27:** It "will NOT be an emergency alert and will NOT require sheltering in place. The siren sounds will be made solely for testing purposes.
