Police in Berkeley are investigating three robberies that took place over just 15 minutes on Saturday afternoon.

The robberies took place between the Elmwood neighborhood and South Berkeley, the [Berkeley Police Department](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/topic/berkeley-police-department/) said. None of them involved a weapon.

Limited details were available because the investigation remains underway.

Police said the first robbery took place just after 1:30 p.m. in the area of College Avenue and Stuart Street.

The next happened 10 minutes later in the area of Regent and Oregon streets.

It was followed by the final report, at Stuart and Fulton streets, just after 1:45 p.m.

Police are now investigating whether all three robberies are related.

And the geography and short window of time in which they happened could be a strong indicator, authorities said.

Police did not have additional details to share but said more information could be forthcoming.

As of March 13, there had been 68 robberies in Berkeley over approximately the same number of days, according to local police data.

Historically, Berkeley averaged about a robbery a day, but that number dropped during the pandemic.

This year has seen the city's robbery stats returning to historic levels.

This story will be updated if more information becomes available.
