According to the [University of California Police Department](https://www.berkeleyscanner.com/topic/university-california-police-department/), which pushed out a campus alert just before 1 a.m., the robber was described as a teenage male in a black zip-up jacket and gray sweatpants.

He threatened the student and took his wallet, police said.

Then he got into a red four-door sedan and left eastbound on Haste Street.

Police say the culprit was "believed to have been in the company of a second individual" who got into a white four-door sedan and also left the area.

That person was described only as male, according to UCPD.
