# 2 displaced in West Berkeley RV fire; 1 RV lost, 1 damaged

Firefighters responded early Thursday morning to a blaze on Grayson Street in West Berkeley that destroyed one RV and damaged another, authorities report.

Two people were displaced as a result of the conflagration.

The fire was reported at about 3 a.m., the Berkeley Fire Department said.

Initial reports were that three mobile homes had caught fire in the city's safe RV parking area at 742 Grayson St. west of Seventh Street.

When firefighters arrived, they found two RVs ablaze, the Berkeley Fire Department said.

The American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist the people who had been displaced.

BFD said firefighters had not determined what might have caused the blaze.
